Checking spending availability almost triggered FR

Yes, you read these right. I was playing around with buttom, and received q message with a request to call Amex. CSR asked a few questions about employment and adviced me about how much i can spend on my charger. Next time i called (forgot to ask about some other staff), i was transferred to FR department. Lady told me that the agent i spoke to had no concerns, and they dont need to review my accound any further. I dont have any problem with letting them to review my taxes, but i do want to share my experience with fellows on this forum

After the Spending Ability check did you make any unusually large purchase or any out of the ordinary activity?

You gotta be getting on Amex's nerves.. 3 App in short time, 1 cancelled app, etc ..  Be careful my friend...

No, i didnt make any purchases.
CreditCuriousity, i just shared my experience, and so far they like me-i make purhases and make my payments once a week. Anyway, just wanted to bring something valuable

I think his point is that just by checking your spend ability it is not going to trigger an FR or generate those phone calls.  It all goes together.

Checking Spending Ability wasn't the reason for the FR. There's something in between that caused it. Probably it's some of the unusual application activity.

Some useful data points to provide: 

* How long have you had your Green Card?

* What amount(s) did you put in?

* What is your reported income to Amex?
