Chevron card

Is the chevron card an instant approval card? If not how long for the reply?

Re: Chevron card

Hi Dave - nope, it's not instant. In fact, I called last week to check the status since I was curious, not knowing what the silence meant. She said they send out the card (or letter if not approved) within 7-10 days. Sure enough, just got home from a long weekend and it was in the mail yesterday. Yeah !!! Feels good to apply for things and be approved. So far my inq have resulted in new TLs (4 to be exact - don't think I want to do anymore as I'm happy with the mix of cards and CL). I'm at 661 by the way and they pulled EQ. Hope that helps! She was very nice on the phone and said they do limits from 300 - 1000. My limit is 400.

Re: Chevron card

thanks for the info, i am starting out and up to 504 EQ, but saw several approvals at about or below that score, so thought I would give it a try.

I am just trying to get a few positive TLs, a $300 limit would be awesome

Re: Chevron card

Chevon usually wont approve anyone with a score under 600. If anyone has had any luck let us know.

Re: Chevron card

Yeah it appears Chevron has changed their standards. Lots of people were reporting success with low numbers. I think they had a program for a rebuilder card that was getting low Fico's approved (under550).  I was denied at 589. I think they should be taken off the BK friendly list, as that was their reason for my denial, BK in 02.
