Does the AA select come in WEMC? I thought it only came in WMC.It most certainly does. I was approved for the WMC last August, and the very next month I was sent a World Elite Mastercard version of the card. It's my understanding that Citi has been periodically upgrading the WMC accounts. Now if I could get the WEMC of the Barclays Aviator Red...
Upgrade to the Silver :-)
I will say that I've become quite interested in keeping my Barclays AA card in the event that I do decide to upgrade to Silver in the future. I still want the elusive Red WEMC though...
Yeah that would be nice. Wonder what criteria they use to give those out. Before I upgraded to the Silver I got notice new cards were being sent and I figured it was an upgrade to WEMC but turned out to be just another copy of the original. Go figure. Tbh, not sure why I even cared because I already have plenty of WEMCs andhaven't used one benefit of it yet. They do look nicer though
I've gotten a couple emails like that. It wasn't an upgrade or card compromise. It was just a new card with an EMV chip added.
I received the chip card already, still waiting for WEMC upgrade. lol

I'd be curious to know the criteria as well. I also completely agree with you on the WEMC benefits. I can't say I've used them either; however, I'd still rather have them than not if they are available. On the subject of aesthetics, the silver MasterCard logo looks so much better than orange/red for sure.
And other reason(s) for sending a new card is because you are probably near the card's expiration date. Banks, will send out a new card (some) a couple months before the card's expiration date. Check your card's expiration date on the front to be sure.
