I got a $2k bump on 2 Citi cards this week, both SPs.

I don't like to call recon. They may say "dude, you have like $200k in credit, **bleep** do you need another $5k for?"

not sure I could answer Smiley Happy

Keep in mind - these banks don't make money unless they lend it out to people. If they think you are a good risk, they won't care how much extra you have. They hope that you will prefer their product. And of course you prefer their product.

My Thank you Premier app is under EO review. I'm hoping for a positive outcome. I'll update the status on here. Smiley Happy

Right at the end of a major app spree a few weeks ago I decided to app for Citi Simplicity. I got the 7-10 day message and finally got the letter: "Too many recent apps"

Is it worth trying to recon with Citi?

Re: Citi recon

The same denial reason- "too many inquiries" with mine. No baddies, no derogs, no late payments, under 15% util (other cc limit not reported yet) AAOA 5 yrs. Very unlikely to attempt another Citi in the future. Many options out there.
