Citi mailed an estimated 346 million card offers to North American customers in the third quarter, according to figures to be released later this month by Mail Monitor, a unit of research firm Synovate. That is more than one for every man, woman and child in the U.S. One in three credit-card offers that landed in consumers' mailboxes last month came from Citi, Mail Monitor estimates.
The postal blitz is expected to make Citi the largest mailer of credit-card offers, ahead of longtime industry leader Chase, for the first time in eight years. It shows how Citi is trying to regain ground ceded to rivals after losing hundreds of millions of dollars on credit cards following the 2008 financial crisis.
OK, so my dog, cat and bird should all be getting one soon!
My dog actually did get an offer, but that was in 1999. And from Chase (I think...I can't quite remember, could've been some other CC company).
I put his name on one of those "we'll never contact you without your permission" forms.
Woof!
Interesting, since I only get about one per month from Citi.
If I total CC offers and BT checks, I get about 40 "offers" per month. It isn't unusual to get 4 or 5 in a single day.
I fell for one of those mail-in offers and swiftly got declined. Thanks for the unneccesary inq!

Nope, but I can solve the mystery for you. I seem to get one every week or two. I don't even bother shredding them anymore since there doesn't look like there is any personal info on the applications. I just chuck them.
Sending out all the unwanted offers seems like a monumental waste of $$ for them.
I get one every 2 weeks for the Diamond Preferred (which I don't want by the way).
I have opted out and am on the "Do Not Call" list
I recalled opting out but somehow I am still getting offers. Received 1 a couple of months ago for 30,000 AA miles, than received another one last month for 45,000 AA miles in the mail. The offers are getting better and better. If they send me a 100K AA miles, I will give in. But I don't think that could happen, they can't be that desperate
But we shall see.....
I was wondering where all the love from Citi was coming from.
I get 3 offers a week from them. Thank You, diamond preferred, and some other card... all at 21 months no interest on BT or purchases.
And only 1 offer a week from Chase freedom.
