I just crossed over six months since one of the two chase cards. Problem is I can't wait too long because the SUB isn't gonna stay around. I also picked up a citibank credit card 3-4 months ago but that was a business card. For this purpose are they mainly looking at personal card apps or will they hold business apps against me as well. In the end if I want the SUB I'll just need to pull the trigger. Worst that can happen is another inq and a denial. Don't have any other cards I'm eager to go after anyway.

If I were you I'd spin the wheel and see what happens but that's me being me.   With Citi their tolerance level is YMMV based on one's individual credit history and at one point it appeared that a reasonably firm best case was that one would have no more than 6 inquiries reporting over the last 6 months.

Concur just a HP you will either get it or not.  I knew I have a slight chance of getting it and likely getting denied when I went for it, but what is a HP?  Still over 800 score so no impact at all to me(other than 1 inquiry) and likely the same to you and likely you might yield an approval.

Re: Citibank application rules & an IHG card question

I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the Citibank AA card and got instant approval with 19k credit line, so thankfully my recent apps didn't cause an issue because it would have sucked to miss out on this signup offer. Other than likely upgrading my amex gold to a plat I think I'm gonna spend some time in the garden most of my bonus clocks are on cooldown so there isn't anything I really need or want.
