No credit card required
Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
They've been my primary bank for about 20 years now.
Never had an issue with them.
I agree that their UI used to suck and is still not the best (Better integration with CC would be nice) but is at least servicable now.
My card did not require an application and was a SP to open (No HP at all).
Just asked the teller if I had any offers on my account.
1.8% CB served me well for years until my credit rebuild was complete and I moved on to better reward cards.
I still use it for my monthly Cell phone bill to get the extra protection which was easy to use when needed.

When I log in I can manage all my accounts through the mobile app no problem.
@flash3 wrote:The Citizens Bank website is easy to use and navigate, never had any problems before. Also, if you apply for a new Citizens card now they are giving you 5% cashback on everything for one year, which can be used at Walmart, etc. They approved me even though I was over 5/24.
Is that a HP or SP? I'm applying for their business card since it's a SP on personal.@JFox418 - any business-related products/topics need to be discussed in the Business Credit section of the forums. There are a variety of Citizens Bank discussions in that section.
As far as applying for a personal CC with Citizens, it's HP on EQ (unless you receive a pre-approved offer online or in a branch which can be SP in most cases).
@FinStar got it, was just asking about the personal CC HP/SP since their business was a SP. Making a new post about the personal CC since ironically I got a prequal email last night about it.
@trant3 wrote:I have citizens checking and CC but theyre not my primary bank, thankfully. Their UI sucks, although has gotten better. You cannot pay a citizens credit card on their app with an external checking, although its 2021 now. The credit card account is managed on a seperate website than the main citizen's website.
HSBC Credit Card and LOC is the same way you have to open a different window to see everything about that account..
Has anyone gotten their new credit card from Citizens from the HSBC merger yet? I just got my debit card and it tells me that I can active the new card and when I try to it tells me I need to wait Intel 19 Feb.
@Cory88 you may want to keep an eye on the thread in the Credit-in-the-News subforum as well, a few of us have been sporadically updating it. You've posted in that thread before.

Do you still have your "We're Ready To Welcome You" mailer that Citizens sent out a few weeks ago? The cutover date when the old cards deactivate/new cards activate is this upcoming Sunday 2/20.
(and no I haven't received my card yet)
I was just curious if anyone part of the conversion from HSBC has received their credit card yet?

Nope, as of 15 Feb 2022. I don't know were it's at. HSBC tells me that the card is staying with them now, citizens is telling me they are getting it. Uggh. I don't know at this point.
