Re: Close Secured and try for another?

I reccomend letting the quicksilver grow at least 1 year. And then apply for a card you want first. Then close the capital one.

Re: Close Secured and try for another?

I had a chat session with a Capital One Rep.
I'm going to wait for my balances to update on my credit report as the last update was at 99% utilization and now it's at 2% . I'm going to go on an App spree once they do.

Re: Close Secured and try for another?

So my local CU approved me for a $500 credit card (hooray, this is the same CU that approved me at 8% for my car loan but with a co-signer). Should I app for another credit card? [is yes, which?] or should I closed out my secured Capital one card, wait 1-2 days and apply for a new Captail one card?
