US Bank still won't upgrade you to a cash+? Haven't you had the cash non-plus version for awhile?
Won't give them the honor of the HP KDM.. A matter of principle for me as they hold a considerable amount of my money and going to lose me as a customer. Its just business on both sides.. Simple as that.. Sure they woud upgrade it, but a little to little to late if I was to take said HP.
Lets just say a penfed savings/checking acocunt was opened today as well.. I am done playing around and wasn't idle talk that I was saying absout moving my direct deposit and savings .. I am done with big banks and rather have a CU to deal with for my banking needs.

Yes kdm, just a matter of personal preference for CreditCuriosity. Just like your psychological association with your APR and Capital One.
I was just confused as to why ask for a CLI to immediately close a card. It's not an insult or anything. It just seemed counterproductive to me, so I was curious what the reason was. You're right - we all have our preferences and that's fine!
I had not been in a J Crew store in a decade. Got my card and went to a Factory Outlet and could not believe blue jeans were $125 a pair. They and Banana Republic were super cool stores in the 90s. Funny thing is, I buy more stuff from Old Navy and don't even have a card for that store. I have bought my nephew 21 new shirts and a new pair of Nikes. I hook him up several times a year as a high school student. 10 Old Navy shirts were $64 with free shipping. Every time I would go the Gap, J Crew and Banana Republic, I headed straight for the clearance racks. Got my J Crew card up to $8,800 and keep it for utilization. I hear the company has financial issues though. I don't really care about clothes any longer. I am a boring 44 YO who wears khaki shorts and button down Columbia shirts all year.
I shop in J. Crew (mostly the factory outlet or J. Crew Mercantile) but I'm also thinking about closing my card. My problem with it is how quickly the rewards expire. I just don't shop there often enough to earn a reward before some of my points expire... I'm always chasing the minimum redemption. I'd be better off just using another credit card.

Cc now you got access America checking and share withpenfed? Did they have any offers for you upon sign up? I forgot if they do that, as they had no offers for me back in the day but gave me offers down the road. I lovepenfed. When u want that extra big credit limit, travel rewardsAmex. J crew served its purpose for u, u got the limit u wanted and said good bye, I get the ritual with itlol.
Let just say pending.. Fingers are crossed.. Was in loan officer for review now in pending whatever that means.. We shall see as I have alot of EQ inquiries.. I think they will at least throw me a 5k bone due to income and low utilization. I just put $100 savings and of course did the other thing.. See how it plays out, was instant but I assume the might be giving me a call tomorrow as it seemed to pass the waiting for review to pending whatever that means to you penfed people... One more application and that is the Ritz and I am done for the year.. Hope the penfed pans out as I still am a bit dirty on EQ, but some risks are worth taking and sick of normal banks.. Hoping they just wanna talk or POI or something..Only think I am worried about is the 14 EQ inquires 12 or whatever from this year and a slew of new accounts..

14 on EQ is not bad. As for I had 30-35 when I was instantly approved for 17.5k. I think you got it, I feel like they don't know you well enough to give you instant but the loan officer review thing can go either way. Last year i would get that message and it ended up in decline but from what I am raiding this year, the loan officer thing is more postive. Check back tomorrow and you should have you answer. Fingers crossed!
Ya not much to lose honestly... It was in loan officer review -> pending... So it made it one step.. Would it say denied if denied? Deffinetly a different message than original status after an hour or so being pending.
