Re: Comenity closed my accounts

Seems Comenity is not done with this nonsense - glad I'm done with them and will never look back !

Re: Comenity closed my accounts

Comenity needs to invest in new software.  Come up with a policy of approval for only one card every 90 days or 4/24 months or something.   Instead of approvals then closures, they need to start giving declines after the first approval.  I think this site really attacked the company when people got a dozen Comenity cards in one night.  I have went through 20 credit cards since July 2014.  Now I have 9 and 2 are Comenity.  Out of the 11 I closed, 1 was Barclays and 10 were Comenity.  By September of 2017, all of my inquiries will be gone from my record.  Scores about to go above 800.  I think I played all the right moves and have conquered this sport.  I have no idea why I keep coming back to this site.

Re: Comenity closed my accounts

I could care less about the inquiry but they reported both accounts as closed to the CRAs. So befoe I received the cards they closed them and first reported them showing closed by credit guarenteed. I would think I have a case to have all info removed

HaHa I feel the same way. I have great cards with great banks that I'm happy with. But NOO I couldnt leave well enough alone. I rebuilt from the 500s to 760 without a store card or Crapenity. But Ive been in the garden waiting to close on the house and couldnt help myself. I too will blame this website. LOL. In all honesty I wouldnt be where I am without all of you. Before I did this I had the final months of my rebuild planned to a T. But now I'm not sure and Im a little upset that I will have to delay the final act of my play. I'm due a CLI with AMEX and USAA in December. I was hoping to get my Hilton Surpass to 45K then transfer 15K to my EDP taking it to 23K and then CLI it to 60K in June. I really didnt want anymore cards. The Ultimate goal was by Christmas 2017 to have the following: AMEX Platinum, AMEX EDP 60K, AMEX Hilton Surpass 30K, NFCU Flagship 50-80K, USAA 30-50K between the 2 cards, Marvel MC 25K. My Citi DP is at 11.6k now and can stay there or go up but Im not counting on it. And My Lowes is topped out at 35K. All my scores should be hovering around 800 by then. Thats all I want for Christmas.

I think you're onto something with getting the whole thing removed.  BTW it's "couldn't care less" Smiley Happy  otherwise you still care a little bit.

I doubt it would be the inquiries, 8 inquiries is not that much especially when you consider the majority of them came from mortgage and car loans. Anything else change in your profile recently?

Yeah and I have 14 INQ on my EQ  and had 11 Comenity cards and have received no adverse action from them.  Just recently I closed my Credo Visa 7750  - Credo and Comenity parted ways, so I closed before they did. Also, closed my Virgin America Visa, after having for just about a year. Mypoints Visa 7000 will reap no more rewards, since MyPoints and Comenity have parted ways too.  They said the card will remain open till it expires -- okay, till 2019. lol.  and Overstock 5400 -- it's been a year and don't use it....should close it.

That leaves (Farmers Visa 6500, RedroofInn Visa 6500 - both opened 7 months ago)  (Orbitz Visa 6500, Fuel Rewards 9750, Sportsman Visa 8250, Toyota Visa 6000,  and MyPoints 7000 -- The rest have been opened for 3 years)

(7/23/16) AMEX FICO EX 728, (6/20/16) Discover FICO TU 747, (7/24/16) Barclays FICO 750 (TC Lines $400+K) AAoA= 4.3 yrs
