Community Bank and Email Verification…..

I have a Cashback (with Amex logo or payment method) card from Commenity bank which I got approved 3 months back. Yesterday I received an email from them asking me to Verify my email address, but when I clicked on the link-button then it is not working. I have even tried copying and pasting the full link given below as well but no avail. I have tried this on many browser, like Safari, Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Firefox Mozzila, Duckduckduck...etc. but nothing is working. What should I do so that I could verify my email address? Just to know that I do get emails (all kinda) from them on my email address. Its just that the link that they send in the email to verify my email address doesn't work at all....

Re: Community Bank and Email Verification…..

I would go to my account on the website or app

find my personal info profile page

see if the email address is listed as already verified (if so just ignore the verification email)

if not see if there is a link to send a new verification email

if that new email has a non working link I would send them a secured message or hit them up thru the chat feature.

Thanks. As I said in my initial posting that all the contact info is correct and updated on my account, and I am getting all kinda emails from them on my email address without a miss anyway....Its just the link that they have sent is not working nor the button for that link. I have requested online to send the link 3 times already, but still no avail. However, keep it in mind that I am right now at abroad and using VPN with IP address of US and my state where I live in the US...So, its could be possible that they somehow doesn't allow VPN service or some internet issue !!! I would ask my wife to click the link as she is in US...Let's see if it could work because she won't be using VPN and there wont be any internet issue as well....and she will be clicking that link by going into my email account.

Re: Community Bank and Email Verification…..

First, its not a community bank; rather a comenity bank that issues Amex Cashback and AAA cards. It was typo mistake from my part. Sorry.

Secondldy, I personally dont think it to be phishing because- (1) it came to my email address that I never get any junk, spam or any phishing emails because I never have given that email address to any company except credit cards' banks, and for the last 9 years I got no any of such emails from any other places; (2) I even went to my online account and found the same message popping out in there to tell me that I need to verify my email address. I changed devices as well and found the message came in my message center inside my online account.

Re: Community Bank and Email Verification…..

Email is verified now...I think the problem is- their system does recognize that I was using VPN like many banks and companies do find out that VPN is being used. That's why their system was not allowing me to verify the email regardless of which browser I was using. I have tried 5 different browsers and 3 different devices. Keep it in mind that I am right now in abroad, and using VPN to access to all my 45 cards' sites and many-many other US sites wherein I have account with, including this site-my Fico because 90% of these sites are blocked from outside the US including this site as well...So, today I sent the link to my wife's email and she did click from her end in the US and then Comenity bank stated that email address is now verified....Wow....What a roller coaster....

In fact, this site (myFICO) just tried to ban me from logging on because of an "invalid IP address".  When i paused the VPN it let me in.  If people are going to protect themselves by using a VPN then this site, which is supposed to have at least some interest in users' security, should figure out what they really want to represent.

That's very strange. Right now for the last one and half month I am being able to use this site ONLY because I am using VPN wherein I have picked up US IP address/location; otherwise this site is banned/blocked in the country where I am right now. I come to this country all the time and was never able to use this site in many years. Only this time, I thought of trying VPN service and its been working like a charm. However, there are certain companies/sites which I dont allow you even if you use VPN. Don't know how they find out when we use VPN....They do block. Navy Federal Credit Union is one of them, unless you tell me that you are traveling abroad (like which country).
