Contactless EMV Signature American Express

I just chatted and asked for the CONTACTLESS replacment card... and they sent them for the Gold Charge, Green Card, Gold Delta, and Business Green  all contactless emv and signature

Very nice! I also requested the contactless cards and should be getting them soon. I have Green and BCE, I hope they send the correct cards!

Although I have another big thread going on regarding contactless w/regards to amex already.. They don't offer contactless from everything I have read on Amex website for the Delta card.. Maybe this is brand new.

Yea it was your thread on your ED card that me made request my C+S Contactless cards

I'll never understand why they refer to them as "contactless."

They are pretty much in "contact" with the reader when you "tap to pay."

So u can get a contactless charge card? I thought that wasn't an option but good to know!

Because the term doesn't refer to physical contact, it refers to electrical contact. It is in direct contrast to a contact transaction, where the card is inserted into the reader and electrical contact is made with a contact pad on the top of the card.

Do all places have a reader where a contactless card will work? Assuming no, will the card still work the other way (chip and sig fo example).
