Converting Citi to World MC

Anyone convert a Diamond Preferred to World MC?

What does it require for World MC? Is it like Visa Sig where it is dependent on your credit Limit?

Re: Converting Citi to World MC

I've tried calling the backdoor number multiple times in doing so, but my account is eligible yet. Other people on the forum have called and asked, and they have done it on the spot.

Re: Converting Citi to World MC

It should have happened once your credit limit went over 5,000, which is the lowest for a World Mastercard. It is mostly the same as the Visa Signature but since it is run on the Mastercard network some of the benefits and such are different.

Saying you are not eligible is a load of rubbish to me. I would ask for a supervisor if the regular representatives refused to do it.

My credit limit on my Citi Dividend is 5500, and they refused to do it...I've tried backdoor numbers, along with tweeting Citi and having a specialist try...

That is ridiculous. Citi, in my experience is really apathetic when it comes to customers. With other issuers all it takes is a telephone call to get upgraded. They would get more money from doing it so I do not understand the hesitation.

The hesitation comes from the fact that World MC allows you to go over your credit limit (NPSL). So it is a risk that lenders have to decide.
