Do Credit card companies charge a late fee if you make payments that are above the minimum payment amount due before the due date, but still leave an unpaid balance?
As stated, as long as you pay at least the minimum due prior to or on the due date there are no late charges. However, the account will begin to accrue interest on the balance and you may lose your grace period on new purchases (meaning they begin to accrue interest immediately). That will go away as long as you pay the statement balance in full prior to the due date the next billing cycle or two, depending on the lender.
