Without you knowing? That's not a nice thing to do. Especially with family. I also don't want to be rude, but if you've screwed up your credit, why would I want you to jump on board mine.
Hope all goes well with you.

So does this mean my current companies can't do soft pulls to review cli's, or would I have to temporarily remove the freeze for that? I get that I would have to remove it for new cards and such, and to actually get the CLI I assume I would have to remove it as well.
Your current companies will still be able to soft pull you for CLIs. No worries!

Nope, they can still do SPs. Good job on freezing them.
On another note, you might as well make the most of getting that card. I don't know what limit they gave you but you should call Credit Solutions and ask for for a CLI. Ask for $25K and if they won't give you that, they will counter. I went from $300 to $25K in a minute. The larger limit will help your utilization

+1 It is a great card to have! Great CL potential and if you are a homeowner, stuff will break and they have great financing options!
I don't own a house so don't really need a Lowes card... lol But I asked about the CL and she doesn't know what I was approved for, and the department is closed on Sundays. So I'll just wait until I get it in the mail and see. Yeah I can see how it would be useful for keeping credit utilization low. I already took the hit on my report, so why not I guess... I doubt I'll get approved for $25k though. I barely even make that.
Very, very good job handling your mother's (criminal) folly and even better getting your reports frozen so quickly. Good for you. You've asked the right questions about your situation, too.
I agree that since you now have a Lowes card you might as well keep it for credit building. Besides, you never know when you'll become a homeowner and in the meantime it could still be useful for tools, lightbulbs, small appliances, hobby project supplies, etc.
Now good luck dealing with your clueless mom in the future.
@Marths wrote:I did a little research, I just wanted to make sure it was Lowes. My mom applied for a Lowes card in my name. -_- Approved obviously, but really. I know why she did it, she wants to remodel house but doesn't have funds to do it. She'll pay it back, I know she's good for it, but still. That is EXTREMELY irritating; applying for a credit card in my name.. I want to help her out, because she's my mother, but that card is insane. 24.99% APR??? I know her, she would pay the minimum amount every month, and I dont want that type of balance revolving on my report. Im not going to activate it, and she isn't going to either. I had a conversation with her how that affects me, and she can't do stuff like that. Hopefully, she doesn't do it again. Or I have to unfortunatley have to get more aggressive(possible law) with it.
But the main question is, it won't scare Chase or AmEx will it? I've just got 3 cards by the both of them, my first ones, and I really don't want to mess anything up with them.
Wow. That stinks. I am sorry this happened to you. She put you in a hard spot, but you seem to have a good head on your shoulders. Just a word of advice, don't lend anything or allow other people to use your credit unless you are willing to either not see the money again or pay for it yourself. You've received good advice here. Keep an eye on your reports.
Im sorry to hear this happened op.
I have been wanting to freeze my reports but whenever I look into it Im advised I need to send in letters and utility bills.
How did you make it happen so quickly? Was it free?
I just went on each website and set up the freeze. Pretty painless. It was $10 each in my state. It's free with a police report, but Im obviously not going to do that.... So it was about $30 total. I guess it's a good security measure though. You can temporarily take it off so it won't be a hassle unless I lose the pins, but I made something I know very well.

Can the same pin be the same for all three?
