No credit card required
Browse credit cards from a variety of issuers to see if there's a better card for you.
Applied for a DCU credit card last week - first time I've ever been asked for income docs on a credit card before..
2.5 years self employed and have an extension for last years taxes that will be filed soon - can't do anything until those are filed as they fully require last 2 years of tax returns for a CC app.
Has anyone else had this issue? Seems like a lot of trouble just for a CC.
Call and explain. Tell them what you do have (2 year's ago return, bank statements, etc.). See if those will suffice.
Or forget it, if it's not worth it to you.

Whenever you apply for unsecured credit from a credit union expect to be asked to provide POI, doubly so if you're self-employed. This isn't just a DCU thing.
They can choose to be flexible with what exactly it is they will accept vs. what they want, so it's OK to try to negotiate on what they are willing to accept.
Yep I tried that - offered to provide any amount of recent bank statements along with 23 tax return, YTD P&L, etc to no avail.
DCU has been working its way to bad and then worse in terms of being onerous and providing accurate information (via customer service) for years -- some of it a clear sign of being ruled by automation despite a human face. And they are merging with First Tech CU right now (which I suspect is more of an acquisition by First Tech than a merger of equals).
Not worth your trouble. You can find parallel or better CC terms and benefits elsewhere. Hate to say it but I decided not to bother applying for the CC product, despite what (other than the above) used to be a solid and satisfied history with them.
