@FinStar wrote:As others have mentioned above, something definitely spook them. We can only speculate on the possible reasons based on other individuals' experiences. Get in contact with their Portfolio Risk Review department to gain some insight as to the abrupt closure of your CC accounts. Are your MMA, checking and/or savings accounts frozen or closed as well?
All accounts with Cash in them seem to be open and fine. I am waiting for some checks to clear and if they don't have a positive response in the morning, I will be transferring my money to NFCU where they show me some love.
I never have less then $50K at BOA on any given day and have 2 different businesses that gross at least $250K a month there and at Chase I almost always have at least $100K parked ..... plus a household account and various other things - between the 2 of them - I am ready to go nuts and need a NEW BANK. We all work too hard for this money for it to not be appreciated and treated so callously that I couldn't even be notified by email or text or phone - signed up for all 3 .... that really gets me too.
I will probably be down there at 9:00 and report back whatever ridiculousness occurred. So didn't see this coming
I have recent copies of my credit report as I am trying to remove some of the inquiries so I don't think there is anything I am unaware of and no baddies, never ever a late pay .... just can't even guess. Literally one new inquiry with NFCU - that's it.
Something seems odd, that's for sure. I hope you get to the bottom of it quickly!
@Anonymous wrote:Goodness, I am so sorry that happened to you, OP. You should call and find out what happened. Perhaps they can reinstate the accounts once you talk to them and find out why they closed them in the first place and give your side of the story.
OP has already called; however, it is after business hours. OP will be visiting a branch in the morning to figure everything out.
I have a lot of inquiries from 2013 but nothing that Chase wasn't aware of when they gave me the cards .... but I am trying to get them off to start off 2015 a little cleaner.
And I have not app'd for much at all this year all together.
If having 3 cards with them is somehow a problem - why did they give them to me to begin with? (referencing the thread with the guy with the palladium card)

I am wondering how this will all play out , i also have 3 chase cards one of them is at 25% utilization. So will be interesting to see if i need to think about pre-emptively transfer my UR points before its gets shuts down and I lose all my points.
While I am sorry this happened to you, I will jump in with the slightly dismissive but albeit true, everything happens for a reason.
Hopefully you get this all worked out. Best of luck!
Dang bro take a breath, it'll be alright. If they messed up they'll fix it, if not just move on and don't take it so personal. Shoot wasn't all that many years ago they were turning my cards on and off so much it was like a wall switch in a dark room, and I didn't get near this worked up LOL. I just said, "oh well won't be eating out this week."

@Anonymous wrote:Why wouldn't you want an explanation? Something happened that caused the shutdown and it's in your best interests to find out what
Right. If you are truly surprised and it is out of the blue, certainly ask. Banks do not shut down cards for no reason, BUT sometimes the reason is due to a mistake, bad data in a CR etc, which it is in your interest to know. You may not get a reasonable answer ("Your account was closed for security reasons", or "transactions inconsistent with the T&C") but you might.
If you know why (such as heavy MS) less reason to ask. But in that case your post would be a little deceptive!
+1 I would check your credit reports. Maybe some wrong negative information got on your reports or someone stole your identity or something. Seems odd that Chase would take this action for no reason, but I can understand your frustration.

Yes I would definately look into lifelock ASAP
I really believe that something you have been doing spooked them. I will be honest, I have read a lot of your posts and you had a lot going on in November and were moving pretty fast trying to rapidly build business credit. You mentioned you move millions through various accounts with various banks and have had issues with other banks? Something is just not adding up. You are best served meeting in person at a Chase branch and find out where you stand. We are pretty curious at this time because there may be more to the story. Please update the status later so we can all rest easy since you came right out and warned people not to bank with Chase.
