Re: DO NOT apply for Anything with CHASE

I'm curious why you're doing all of this speculation instead of being a reasonable person and calling/meeting with someone to find out what happened? You're feeding your emotions instead of your rationale. Sounds like you don't want to know so you can continue being upset. Stop playing the victim and allow Chase to share with you their findings! Good grief!

Yes Indeed to see if there is an update on the reason Chase took this action.. Hopefully OP updates this thread today.  Sure alot more will come to light today if he does.

Re: DO NOT apply for Anything with CHASE

Well OP still has all the Chase cards in siggy.  Maybe this was all resolved and was just a computer initiated closure.  Let's get an update and hopefully some good news.  I'm sure by now OP has contacted Chase and spoken to them in a courteous and friendly manner. Smiley Happy

Curious here as well.  Also, the OP mentioned sending a Western Union to someone.  Could that generate a flag?

Dang bro take a breath, it'll be alright.  If they messed up they'll fix it, if not just move on and don't take it so personal.   Shoot wasn't all that many years ago they were turning my cards on and off so much it was like a wall switch in a dark room, and I didn't get near this worked up LOL.  I just said, "oh well won't be eating out this week."

One of y'all buy gray a beer.

Wish I drank ...

It is personal when you work so hard to build so much and you do everything you are suppose to - it is like a punch in the face ..... Sorry but - #1 not a bro so maybe that is part of the "emotional" reaction Smiley Happy and #2 I do millions of dollars with both BOA and Chase and BOTH have literally just $%&^ on me in last 30 days for whatever reason ....

I spent 2 hours at the branch this morning, where they know me quite well and even the staff was appalled and embarrassed for the bank.  I have too much available credit.  What exactly does that mean?  I haven't misused my credit, I haven't abused my credit, I haven't changed my utilization .... I simply have too much available to me according to chase.  If I would like to close some of my other accounts they can review again in 30 - 45 days -

So Basically because NFCU showed me love Chase is Jelly?  IS that what I am to understand? .... If so, I am MORE then happy to move all things $$ to NFCU.  I am really tired of Corporate banking BS.  I am not the biggest customer out there but I am not the smallest either and sorry guys but it IS personal when you don't matter to the people overseeing your finances .... Payment history means nothing, Money in the bank means nothing, Retirement funds, Portfolios, Merchant Processing, Responsibility with credit utilization means nothing .... okay then what is the point?  What does matter??????

Sorry if I am missing something here ..... someone else I am sure will be all too happy to take my money, this was just kind of a last straw thing between the 2 big banks with all of my business .... Sorry if you guys felt I overreacted, I DO take it personally, I work very hard - like all of you - and try SO hard to keep the debt down - the payment early - statement cuts at 10% or less and all that jazz and all for nothing apparently - it isn't as if I started banking with them a week ago or these accounts were established a month or ANYTHING changed with my spending habits, deposit habits, or credit report .... it was simply uncalled for.

If they feel overexposed - a secure email letting me know as a courtesy would have at least lessened the blow etc.  Just really poor business practices and when their own staff can't defend them you know it is corporate red tape BS and they literally said "this is why we are losing clients" .... My business banker was literally appalled.

I really believe that something you have been doing spooked them.  I will be honest, I have read a lot of your posts and you had a lot going on in November and were moving pretty fast trying to rapidly build business credit.  You mentioned you move millions through various accounts with various banks and have had issues with other banks?  Something is just not adding up.  You are best served meeting in person at a Chase branch and find out where you stand.  We are pretty curious at this time because there may be more to the story.  Please update the status later so we can all rest easy since you came right out and warned people not to bank with Chase.

WHAT?  I was rapidly trying to build business credit?   Um no .... I have been building business credit for years - please go back and reread.  I think I told someone there is nothing fast about building business credit.  It takes an ENORMOUS amount of time and effort.

And what does running a multi million dollar company have to do with the price of tea in china?  My issue with BOA has nothing to do with my actual business but rather a business banker no following through on several things - completely unrelated here and nothing credit related so not sure what you are even referencing other then I expressed dismay with Corporate Banking in General and was contemplating moving much of my business from BOA to Chase due to the lack of follow through - AS ANY SMART BUSINESS PERSON WOULD IF YOUR BUSINESS NEEDS ARE NOT BEING MET.

Again - I have banked at Chase since 2008.  I loved Chase right up until last night.  I can literally quote the lending department from Chase today as well as the staff in the branch - "you have too much available credit and as a conservative bank we have decided to close these credit accounts for the time being".  When you do nothing but make early payments, over payments, often pay in full payments, and steadily use their product in the same fashion and keep $$ in their bank and their staff finds the closings to be ridiculous and are quite literally embarrassed - be forewarned and do as you see fit!  Best of luck and I am by far not the only one this has happened to without cause and without notice!

Re: DO NOT apply for Anything with CHASE

Sorry OP. I really hate that "too much available credit" excuse. If you're responsible with it, then they shouldn't care. I don't blame you, I'd move my money too. Screw em! Smiley Mad
