I took that same offer back in June. Are you a current Delta SkyMiles member?

I would definitely pass on that. There are targetted offers for Delta AmEx cards with 72.5k bonuses.

Offers like that seem to come with very high spend requirements. Found this quote from another forum for the 72.5K bonus:

"The Delta terms are 25k after first spend, 50k after 10k spend in 6 months...."

I was able to get even more than the 35K with this offer. I just became a member when I got my AmEx...not sure if it applies to established members

My DH just got his Delta last week with the 30k spend $500 offer. The same day his card arrived he got the email from Delta asking him to register for 40k mikes that lhcole77 referenced. Obviously, he registered.
