Here is a DP for people who wants to do a PC on a specific card of Discover (Chrome Card)
Just so you have context:
Just three months ago I opened the Discover It Student Chrome Card. It was used roughly for a month heavily before I stopped using it and sock drawered it. I got approved for the DC and it became my unicorn. I am just about graduated this month from college, and during my lurking of the forums, people were talking about the rotating Disco. People also recommended it to me as my next card with my DC. I am happy to be part of the forums btw it's an amazing community here. I then looked at my student It card and thought of just PCing it to make it have at least have some use. I didn't want to HQ or another card to take up my slot.
The process:
I contacted chat support, it had no balance at the time and asked since I was graduating from college if its okay if I can PC to the Disco rotating card. They approved it on spot and I didn't even need to wait for a replacement. No HQ either. You can use the same card, most discover card looks almost the same anyway especially between Chrome and the Regular IT. Once my statement came in, my account was updated to accept the quarterly categories. I wanted to show an email of the changes, but the emails are a little slow but I wanted to share my experience.
Hopefully, I was able to shed some light over Discover and how simple it is the PC.
No problem,

No problem, happy to help the community.
Very Nice! Congrats!
Congratulations on your Discover product change! I am looking to do the same on my Chrome card once the Cashback Match period ends.
Thanks for the info and congrats on the PC! One of my DD's recently asked about PC'ing her Chrome Student to the IT, and I wasn't sure how easy/difficult it might would be. Seems like a simple change!
Do you have any info on the questions below as well?

Do you have any info on the questions below as well?
- Do you forfeit the cashback that is on the original card or does it transfer to the IT?
- I'm guessing the % APR stays the same? She was recently able to get an offer for a 12 month 0% APR on new purchases, so she would like to keep that intact.
Sorry for the delay and yes, happy to help answer some questions.
1.) I asked that specific question in case I need to use the rewards. I am glad to say that the Chrome points does Transfer to the IT seamlessly. They also still continue the Cash Back Match that you have currently have, sadly that doesn't renew during the PC so its basically continuing as planned.
2.) Now about the APR% still being intact, for me I don't really take note of that but with the CPR stated that "my APR will not increase", and all other terms and conditions of my account will still continue to apply. So its safe to assume for me APR won't change for PC. I haven't recieve the offer so I can't tell you about that sorry.

I forgot to mention I asked specifically if my Cashback ends if I PC and surprisingly it stayed. It did not renewed during the PC so it just continued.
Congrats on the PC.
I got my current Discover in 2012. After joining here in 2014 I looked closer at the rewards and discovered it was not the it, but rather the version with 5% rotating categories, and 0.25% base earnings on the first several thousand of non-categories each year. Quite the non-rewards card. So I did a similar PC to the it, and changed the base rewards to a princely 1%, quadrupled my base reward earning power.
Grats on your successful PC
