Discover Auto Increase Email Language?

I Just received an email this morning stating "Thank you for your recent credit limit increase request..." and they have raised my limit from $21,000 to $23,000.

I did not request an increase though, I'm positive of this. My question is, do their auto increase emails say this same thing or is there maybe some error on their part?

I'm definitely not angry at the outcome and I know it's not a hard pull, but I am confused as to why it would randomly state I requested an increase when I didn't actually request one.

Re: Discover Auto Increase Email Language?

I would think either it was an auto-CLI and the wording in the email is incorrect, or a request was submitted in error. Probably the only real way to find out would be to call and speak with a CSR. They should probably be able to see when the request was initiated and by what means. Glad you got in increase, though! Disco seems to be at least a little bit tighter right now.

Yea, that's kind of what I figured lol. I'm not going to call though, I just changed my password to be safe and will let it be.

Honestly though, I was expecting a decrease on this card since I rarely use it now, the current economy and have only spent ~$5 total this year on it.

PayPal May be useful next month though now that I'm looking at the categories again.

My daughter received an auto increase a couple of weeks ago.

Shows up on the web page.

No request, no email or regular hard copy notice. ?

It was just there one day.
