If you call the number on the back of the card and select "other options" I believe it is, one of the options is for CLI. I did it a few days ago and didn't have to actually talk with anyone. You just punch in annual income and housing expenses and that's it. You don't get to ask for a specific amount though, the automated system just spits out what it thinks you deserve. I got a 15% bump doing this. Not great but better than nothing.

So call in lower the requested amount and worst case they ask for a HP at which time you can cancel the CLI request
MJ - Nice to see your reply. But, till now, I have never said/requested any specific amount.
The CSR, said that my history with discover is EXCELLENT. But still no loveeeee whyyy MJ? why??

I think My fiancee had one too when she applied. She has 2 more months for it to hit 1 year so we shall see. Also no auto luv either yet.
hmm that seems to make sense. I have been having same issue with it giving me same message. I had my last baddie fall off and was going to try for an CLI , but apparently they still dont want to play ball oh well. Its going to get SD for an while anyways. Not really thrilled with the 5% categories till end of the year for christmas shopping
Oh!! but I never ever had any baddie guys... Do they hate me so much?

No no....but I believe you have been as busy as me adding new accounts and this is too risky behavior for a conservative lender like Discover.....just give it time and garden garden garden....worked for me finally after 15 months!
I get the same thing. I've called once to request and it costed me a hp. I will play with the button here and there but it always says the same thing. My credit is very good but I don't see them giving me an increase. I spend about 500.00 a month with them and pif before the bill cuts. They figure I don't need the increase. I've heard that Discover likes for you to run a balance which I have never done.

I had high utilization in January (97%) and high utilization for that matter for 6 moniths (>70%). I paid it off in February and and got a $2,300 SP increase. Go figure.
Yea i got the same msg as well, but i thought i was getting that msg because my account has been opened for less than 3months.
I've been trying to get rid of this message for 2 years now (card is 4 years old but never tried for CLI first 2 years). I think it might be due to one time where I paid a couple days past the due date (not a 30-day, everything reports as okay on my CRs x3 except for one month where it shows minimum payment $99).
As someone mentioned, try the automated system through the phone for a try. I was bumped up 25% last week with no HP. After asking CSRs twice for SP CLIs and getting denied, I plan on abusing that robot every 6 months until infinity.

If I do this, It says -
"It looks like we need additional information to process your request"
