Is there any merit to the invitation number in the bulk mail Discover IT card applications? Just curious. I'm not interested in applying for it right now because at 20 I already have two cards (walmart store 2100 cl and chase amazon visa 1000 cl) and 3 hard pulls in the last 9 months (1 a week ago for chase cli). However, I've heard it is a pretty good card to have. I've looked but can't find much. Is there really a difference between the 'student' IT card vs the 'actual' IT card? Either way if I go overseas to race IRONMAN Zurich Switerland summer 2015 the no foreign transaction fee will be pretty nice. I currently have a TU Fico of 736, not too shabby, so if I work at it for another year I should be able to get a decent cl no problem.
Which brings me to another thing. I see Discover offers the TU fico on the statement monthly. Walmart also gives the TU Fico, but just online and you have to 'search' for it. So, any rhythm or reason why TU is the only one credit card companies offer to show their customers? If it was one of the other two that'd be an additional benefit, knowing 2/3 scores every month.
Thanks!

In my opinion it's a great card 5% reward each quarter gas next quarter. Shop Discover with bonus rewards going through the shop Discover site. First rate customer service. Almost everyone gives the free credit score from TU they must sell it at a good rate compared to the other credit reporting agencies.
edit: Discover is coming out with a new 2% card don't be fooled not near as good as the IT card. You would lose 5% quarters for one thing.
