I've received a couple of invitations to apply for the Discover More card, but have been waiting for a Pre-approval on their website. However, every time I go to their website I get a technical error that tells me to try again later. The site however, works for my DW and I'm assuming others. Therefore, I called Discover today and the rep told me that the invitations are basically pre-approvals because its based on my credit profile. I told her I would wait because I prefer to get a Pre-Approval first. The question I have is was the rep telling the truth and has anyone had a similar experience?
