So i was reading about this new "fico score " that discover is offering. I am not sure how accurate this score is. Discover is claiming that its an Fico 08 score based on experian data. So i thought that sounds interesting , but when i compared it to my Amex Ex fico 08 score its not really close at all.
So the question i have has anybody else signed up for this "fico" score from discover and how close is it to their 08 Ex fico they get from amex?

There's another (longer) thread on this in the Understanding FICO Scoring sub-forum - http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Understanding-FICO-Scoring/Creditscorecard-com-FICO-or-FAKO-EX/td-p/...
What date was your AMEX FICO pulled?
My Scorecard EX matched my MyFICO EX08 (updated today) exactly.

I was just going to post about this.
I haven't signed up, as I already have the Discover card (although if the system allowed me to sign up, I could compare the free FICO to the FICO that they provide cardholders.)
I would think that it's an actual FICO8, but the difference is they use different CRAs. Discover gives you a free TU, and AMEX uses EX. As they are one of the only ones that give out EX, some people find value in their AMEX just for the free score.
You should maybe take a look at your different credit reports (you can pull them for free once a year, or anytime you get denied credit (even a CLI, even if you get a CLI, but asked for a larger amt). If the scores are that vastly different, something could be reporting on one but not the other. (All of my FICOs are off by a couple of points, but that's because different companies HP from different CRAs)

Discover gives free TU08 to cardholders, but this new scorecard site of theirs is offering EX08 scores.

Hmm, I'm confused. I just logged into my Discover account and they're still giving me my TransUnion Fico8 like they've always done. I couldn't find any link or text asking me to signup for an EX score.

Really? That's interesting.
Are they going to let current cardholders sign up for this, as well/

Oh wait, so this is for people who aren't cardholders? I assumed it was for cardholders only. I hope they do let existing cardholders do it too then. Where can I get more info on this?
This is an entirely different website from the Discover website. The only connection between the two is that they're both provided by Discover Bank.
It can be found at https://creditscorecard.com/
Although provided by Discover both customers and non-customers are welcome to join.

There was a story on the front page of Yahoo! That's where I learned about it. They're following the CK model, give out the scores and hope to build people into customers by advertising their cards.
It was indicated that this was specifically open to non-cardholders, for the reasons above, but I haven't yet seen anything about cardholders being able to use it (seeing as we already get scores). I didn't even realise it wasn't from TU until I read the reply above. It would be nice if we were able to get two distinct scores from Discover.
Yeah, the best and easiest thing would be for a cardholder to go and try to sign up. Yes, I likely will sooner or later.
