Discover didn't report new post-CLI limit?

So, Discover always reports for me on the 4th or 5th of each month.  They reported yesterday, but my greater credit limit didn't show up.  Any ideas why?  I received a CLI a few days after they reported last month, so I've had the new credit limit for nearly 4 weeks.  I thought for sure with the next reporting (yesterday) that my CL would report as increased, but it didn't.  I haven't experienced this issue in the past with any lender, so I was just wondering if anyone knew the scoop and if it's a Discover issue or just a fluke?

Did they update the balance at least? Might take awhile if they didn't.

I know this is a different Discover card,  but I have a secured Discover card. I bump it up to $500 from $250 in August. It's still reporting $250 as of this month.

Re: Discover didn't report new post-CLI limit?

My last requested CLI took an extra month to report. Did they report an updated balance last time around? My auto-CLI was during the current cycle, so I'll know fairly soon if it gets updated immediately.

Re: Discover didn't report new post-CLI limit?

A few years ago Discover didn't report at all the next cycle after a CLI. I think now they report but the CLI still takes more than 1 statement to show.

If you need the new limit reported you can wait 1-2 weeks and ask for a mid-report. I'm sure the new limit will report next statement.

All of my CLIs with Discover have reported as expected when the next statement cut.

Re: Discover didn't report new post-CLI limit?

Discover is strange.  When I went for my first graduated CLI request last month, my TU FICO8 was 690 or 695.  Discover denied me and the letter came yesterday showing a month old TU score (650).  Maybe they only handle updating all the info when they do their monthly SP, but do update the credit usage?

6 more days until my next statement -- will check my TU score before attemping second CLI request.

I am still waiting for my CLI to show also. I hope it is this month. I suppose the increase was too close to closing date last month.

I could definitely understand that if the CLI was a few days or even a week before the closing date, but mine was about 4 weeks out.  Seems like several others above are reporting the same thing of not seeing the CLI show up for a cycle or even several cycles in some cases.  Odd.

They actually didn't report a balance on the 5th this month.  I had a $2.99 statement balance, but that reports as $0 by Discover.  My reported balance last month was $0 as well.  Perhaps this is the issue.  I wonder if I go make a small charge today (bringing my balance above $2.99) and then once it posts contact them for another reporting if they'd do it?

Overall it's not a huge deal if the new credit limit reports.  When it does report though, it will be the 3rd card on my credit report that has a $30k+ limit and my plan this week was to request a CLI on my Citi DC card to $30k.  While I'm sure it ultimately doesn't matter, I just wanted Citi to see as many $30k+ credit lines as possible when I request $30k from them.

Discover will push a fresh update on your request.

$2.99 may be too little as they do waive balances of $2 so letting $3 report is key.  Not sure about $2.99 but this may be a great data point.
