Discover it Cash Back Card questions

Hey guys, has anyone ever applied for the "Discover it® Cash Back" credit card?   I have several questions (see below)

1. Which credit bureau(s) do they pull from?  Do they pull from only one or do they pull from all 3?

2. What is the minimum FICO score required for approval?

3. What is the minimum spending limit on the card if approved?

I was thinking about applying but I don't want to waste getting hit with a hard pull inquiry and not get approved or if they provide me with an opening limit less than $1,000.00

Currently, my Experian Fico is 675 ...... Equifax Fico is 640 and Transunion Fico is around 680

I appreciate anyone with insight on this Discover card and whether or not it's worth applying

thanks

Discover only pulled Experian when I apped in early 2019. Depends on your state though, check the chart: https://www.doctorofcredit.com/credit-bureau-discover-pull/

Also, don't let a potentially small starting limit dissuade you. Discover has one of the easier and more generous systems for soft-pull CLIs that you can request up to monthly once you're in.

Re: Discover it Cash Back Card questions

When my DH applied last month they pulled both EX (681) and EQ (667). We live in FL. He got a $3,000 SL.

Smiley Sad    I'm located in Ohio, and it appears that Discover randomly pulls from any of the bureaus, hard to pin it down.

If I may ask do you recall what your Experian Fico score was when they HP'd and approved you?

I see in Ohio  7 people reported being HP'd thru Equifax, 11 were HP'd thru Experian, &  2 reported getting HP'd thru Transunion

Re: Discover it Cash Back Card questions

@newscore89  Hi and welcome to the forums

Score is really not that important when it comes to discover. As a general guideline, approvals start  somewhere around 630-650 Fico 8 for unsecured cards, providing there are no recent negatives (as in a year or two)

Who they pull depends on where you live.

Try preapproval link and see what happens. Preapproval is mostly EX and/or EQ

Re: Discover it Cash Back Card questions

My first card was 1.5 yrs out of BK at around 690-700. Started at $1200. And it grew to $6000 in 2 yrs. Closed now and kept my 2cd card now at $15,000. So it will grow. I believe I was double pulled due to the BK. Try the pre-qual.
