Discover soft cli question

I attempted to see if i could get a soft cli online and got a "your request cannot be compketed at this time" msg. I then attempted to call number on back on card to see if i could request one through automated system. After listentening to all options i realized that there was not a cli option. I've had card for four months. Is there something im doing wrong? Should i dial another number?

Thanks

Re: Discover soft cli question

I could be mistaken - however I believe the phone-in option is only available during certain hours?

At least that's what I thought.

I called on my lunch hour this past Saturday and they gave me a $1,000 increase.

Good luck!

25 years old. Scores around 740. Income = 45K. Chase Car Loan @ 2.4%, AAOA = 2 years. Total Personal CL = 120k.

The phone option first started for me after 6 statements. Also for DW.

Re: Discover soft cli question

I think you can get a CLI after six months. When my sixth statement cut, I tried hitting the CLI button and got the same error as you. However, when I logged back in after a day or two I saw they automatically gave me an increase.

Either way, I think 4 months is too early.

Re: Discover soft cli question

Are CLIs from Discover always soft? A Discover CSR told me it normally requires a hard pull.

They have both. If you talk to a CSR for CLI you can tell them that you do not want a HP. In most cases they will confirm with you if they need a HP.

+1

I do not know exact hours but that is the case IMO as well.

When I tried calling them in late night say around 11 PM CST I do not get that option. However, I get that option during the day time.
