Done with US Bank!

After dealing with 13 months of US Bank I'm done with them. Everything takes weeks to resolve, customer service wait times have been pushing 30-45 minutes or more in the recent months! Then to push me over the top I received an alert that US Bank pulled my credit yesterday with a hard pull. I called as soon as I saw the alert and the customer service rep stated I had requested it yesterday over the phone for a CLI! I flat outside stated that isn't true because last week I called to inquiry about a CLI and was told accounts can't be given a CLI until at least 6 statements cut for a product. And told him it was lie because I didn't even call yesterday! He told me to dispute it with transunion. When I asked to speak to manager he came back on the line and told me that it states in the fine print that it's a hard pull...hmmm what fine print of you just lied to me and told me I supposedly did it over the phone?Throw in the fact that I was told I need a hard pull to insecure my secure card which I did agree to do ended up in a hard pull three months ago for them to turn around and send me out a cash rewards card with an 800 dollar limit and not even unsecure my secured card but close it out! Still waiting three months later for a resolution on this and haven't heard from them yet. Then the unwillingness to at least PC the card they sent me for the wrong pull three months ago. I told him to shove it and cancel the rewards card! He didn't tried to tell me I should cancel beauE they offer great customer service ha I laughed and then ended the phone call. I just don't see how people love USBank products when everything is so backwards and takes so long to resolve! Won't miss an 800 dollar card and won't affect my UTI! End of rant

Re: Done with US Bank!

I closed personal and business bank accounts last year and never looked back... I have kept the credit cards that were already open but they have plummeted from the bank they use to be in the early 2000's... and the online system hasn't changed since the 2000's!

They are on my list as about the worst!

Re: Done with US Bank!

There online system and app is a joke. What also bothered me was if you used their card to make a purchase it would take up to a week for it to reflect on your account and even for available credit. I only used it for Lyft because they were low charges and didn't care when it would post or show pending. But I had even stopped using it for that. I've read on here they have great products and blah blah on how great they are, but seems like they're not that great. Won't miss them taking up any space in my sock draw.

Re: Done with US Bank!

I've been done with commercial banks for a while. except for my Citi Double Cash card, which I basically steal money from Citi with that card.

Want to make America great again? Don't support Wall Street by purchasing or doing business with companies who act like a crutch for them. I'm planning on having my DC replaced with a credit union card within the next year, but my planning and research to find the best one is still in the infancy stages.

Re: Done with US Bank!

We closed all of our personal and business accounts with them in February and went down to one bank, Chase. I agree that their CS is lacking both on-line and in their branches. They did a HP for a CLI for my small LOC which was annoying.

Re: Done with US Bank!

I currently bank with Baxter Credit Union and have been with them for 6 years and I have absolutely no complaints with them, also my car loan is through them as well. Unfortunately the credit cards they over are similar to what I have, but only allow redemption once a year.

I think big banks don't care about the individual because there's probably someone applying for a card with US Bank now and they don't care about my business. Glad they only made money off of the swipe fee and not the interest.

Re: Done with US Bank!

US Bank will continue to subsidize my mobile phone and gym at a rate of 5% until they nerf the rewards.  Never had a problem with them.
