After a successful recent app spree, it's surprisingly two of my GE-backed cards I wish had larger limits. I like using the 0% financing at Lowe's and Amazon, but sometimes my CLs at those stores aren't big enough. My Lowe's card is now just over 4 months old, I have $800 left of a $3300 appliance I financed over 6 months interest free, but would definitely use a larger tradeline for financing home improvements if I had it. What's the key to getting large limits from GE?

Simply call credit solutions and ask for $25k.
It's a manual sp review and they will counter
+1 Absolutly
+2 Most have excellent experience with credit solutions.
I wish my experience with credit solutions was better. I get treated like a criminal when I call them I use my Walmart card alot each month - $1200 in gas/food and PIF and they refuse to give me a CLI . $800 just isn't enough and I hate having to make multiple payments a month.
I however seem to be an exception, most others seem to have a fantastic exerience with them!

Certainly get that impression from here, but in the wider world, see the most recent survey: http://www.jdpower.com/consumer-ratings/finance/ratings/909201641/2013-U.S.%20Credit%20Card%20Satisf...
GE gets 2 stars out of 5, equal with Citi, and behind the likes of Cap One, Barclays, BoA who got 3, Chase who got 4 and Discover and Amex with 5

None at the moment.

If you want a CLI then request it and expect an HP. Credit varies so there are no one-size-fits-all tricks. If your credit supports it according to their criteria then you'll receive it. If not, you won't. Same as it is with any creditor.

HP for CLI with GE? I don't think so. Every GE CLI I've ever heard about has been SP.
Other lenders, that's a different matter. Chase won't ever give a customer requested CLI without an HP. Discover will give small CLIs with SP but usually (not always) does HP for larger CLIs. Why should anybody "expect" an HP from GE, though?
+1 GE CLI is a SP
