Sorry this happened. I looked around earlier today just for info before your thread was even started. No page at all from them will load. Guess I'm geo-fenced. And saw its happening alot now. Some with the same CL or more getting AA'ed.

@FireMedic1,

They recently introduced the geo-fencing for both personal and business.

@M_Smart007does this mean customers outside of the geofence will no longer be able to apply for their cards? If so, that's a bummer as I was looking forward to app'ing Evergreen early next year. I have the secured and am not in any of the states they list for branch locations: Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Nebraskda, Texas, South Dakota.

@mortimerwereback, I am really not 100% certain?

The best thing you can do is try to input your zip code and see what comes back?.

The geo-fencing could also change at any given time.

Good idea. Or... perhaps I should unfreeze my CBs and see what the soft pull sends back and then app now before it's too late. loll....

@mortimerwereback, "Only those who dare" .. You might give it a shot?

I have absolutely no idea?? what they like about my credit profile, but they "do" ...and just keep giving ..

No CLD's as of this post.

hahha! good one! took me a second to catch that!

Re: Does fnbo ease up after a while?

I only have the Evergreen card. It started at $11300 and it's now $15100. I had a BT on it, paid it off, and use it every once in a while.

No complaints yet.

...and might FNBO start closing accounts at some point for folks like me who have had a card, but live outside the geofence?

@cws-21, Once you have the card, they will not close for out of geo area.

If that were the case, I'd have at least 10 CU's shut my cards down, for moving outside of their area.

Thanks, @M_Smart007. I know that isn't standard procedure with financial institutions, but is there a precedent for it? FNBO has been doing some wacky things lately.

@cws-21, They may cut off new applications ..

But ..I honestly do not think FNBO will cut a current customer for geo-fencing. That is JMO.

Re: Beware of FNBO

I don't think I'll have to worry about my FNBO BW (BestWestern) MC with the new GeoFence policy change being talked about, since it's a global reach + cobranded card, even though the UW's were FNBO I talked to and not BW.

Good luck to those with core (non-cobranded) cards. I can only imagine the sting that would leave with a closure or cld.

Re: Beware of FNBO

Wait what?! FNBO is now geo-fenced?! I just got their business Verizon visa yesterday... I'm assuming this is for their evergreen products and not cobranded?.

I wanted the evergreen, SP always comes back empty..
