I was denied twice in the last 6 months via the FNBO qualifier and when i got the letter it said out of area.last year their prequal offered me the secured card so i think something changed in 2022.
That would be about the right time frame, I started seeing people post about the geofencing restriction,
and it would have been after my Evergreen personal approval on 10-05-2021 & Evergreen Biz. Approval on 12-01-2021 ( I was way out of their geo area at the time)

@cws-21, Once you have the card, they will not close for out of geo area.
If that were the case, I'd have at least 10 CU's shut my cards down, for moving outside of their area.
Thanks, @M_Smart007. I know that isn't standard procedure with financial institutions, but is there a precedent for it? FNBO has been doing some wacky things lately.
@cws-21, They may cut off new applications ..
But ..I honestly do not think FNBO will cut a current customer for geo-fencing. That is JMO.
Thanks, @M_Smart007. I am unaware of a precedent with another bank or credit union, but I thought I would ask nonetheless.
I have had no problem charging to 50% of my limit, $7500 balance on 15K CL, that CL is now 27.3K and the revolving balance is 3000, I only pay $100 a month since its at 4.99% till its paid off, have not received any CLD. I also have their bucksback visa with a 15K CL, I regularly charge 300-500 a month on it and pay this one off a few days before statement cut. I only have one more card I revolve on since it came with 15 months no interest and that is the Citi Cust Cash, balance stays 600-800 on a 3.5K CL. TTL cards I have are 21 open with zip owed... I do know FNBO relies heavily on Fico score and Sagestream. I have less than 8 inquiries on all the CRs and only app for new credit at a rate of about 1 every 6-7 months.
I would update your income online, give them a week and call in to see if there is a SP CLI waiting for you.

ymmv, but from what i understand, once they cld you, it restarts the 4 month clock for cli.

Frankly, this is how I got into FNBO in 2017 (Core Card open gate November 2017 to January 4, 2018 Visa Card with 2% before the Evergreeen Card). Before that, I only had non-Core Cards issued going way back to the 1970's (AAA Club Midwest for three years) issued by First National Bank of Omaha.
Also, they used to issue under the name of First National Bank of Omaha and since they are wandering outside the fence more they made some internal changes to offer under the name FNBO and not to long back (suspect a legal reason) and also FNBO Direct.
I still refer to my Evergreen card as my "First National Visa" in my head.
It didn't occur to me until just now after reading through this thread that I did receive the following email yesterday....
I haven't used my FNBO Ducks Unlimited card the past couple of months (I've been using the Affinity card for my gas at Costco) and normally there is never any issue with taking a break from usage. And usually I would shrug off an email like this, because typically banks don't take AA until at least 6-mths to 1-yr of non-usage. But after reading all of the recent oddities occuring with FNBO, and now receiving this message, my antennae are up at high alert.
I mean....this would infer that they are up in arms about 30 days of non-usage. (and technically it's been over two months in my case) All it takes is one purchase to keep my card "active". Really? So I guess I'll be going to Costco tomorrow for an early fill-up. *shrug*
I've had this card for several years now and I've never had any issue with FNBO whatsoever. They've been generous with CLI's and I've reached my personal desired limit with them on the card @ $16k, so I won't be asking for anything more. Keeping my fingers crossed they don't nerf me too....I've been rather fond of the grandfathered Ducks card.
My wifes Evergreen was just closed without notice or reason. According to FNBO's web site she has a FICO Credit Card 9 of 769. Less than 1% utilization, nothing bad anywhere and heavily using the card like $1k /month and PIF for 7 months. Luckily she had just cashed out like $400 in points but they forfeited her last $25 worth of points. Really have a bad opinion about that bank now.
My evergreen card limit has been reduced from 12k to 500. To be fair to FNBO, I did rack up the card the first month, although I paid it off a week after racking it up
Not knocking em since I did use it heavy before they could trust me, but they seem to be pulling back on credit limits for some.
For reference, good scores clean reports, very low/zero balance on other cards. Been getting credit increases from us bank/elan on my bmw Mastercard, it sits with a 50k limit. Not bragging, just using it for reference
@Wilburtheman my FNBO getaway card was reduced from 15k credit limit to $500 for non use. They haven't touched my Evergreen yet. I closed the Getaway card and plan on closing the Evergreen card once the payment I made posts to all the credit bureaus. My ficos are 791 or so.

Another example of FNBO shooting itself in the foot.
