Re: Finally Bit the Bullet and Applied...Chase Freedom and Discover It

Well the Chase increase is a no go. They said that the reason I was only given a $500 credit line initially was because that was the highest line reporting at the time of application. Evidentally Discover does things a little differently, I wanted to tell her that Discover just gave me a $7,000 credit line, but I didn't want to sound of any alarms of another application. Oh well, I'm sure in a few months Chase will evaluate and increase me due to the Discover line anyway. Fingers crossed anyway. And yes, it was another HP wasted for the limit recon. Smiley Sad

Re: Finally Bit the Bullet and Applied...Chase Freedom and Discover It

congrats on the discover limit and chase freedom (bummer about the limit)

thing that sucks about chase is its ALWAYS a hard pull for customer initiated cli.

i had a 5k report in december and chase auto'd me from 500 to 1k. but it was also the 6 month mark so anything is possible.

nurture those seedlings and next year you will be in a better place.

even though its a small limit you got best of both worlds with the shop discover and ultimate rewards mall!

good luck!

p.s. what was the income you put in?

Congrats!!  Sorry you did not get the Chase CLI but your foot is definitely in the door and that counts for bunches.

Into the Garden with you.  I have some nice carrots and some cabbage about ready to harvest so you wont be alone. Smiley Happy

Re: Finally Bit the Bullet and Applied...Chase Freedom and Discover It

I was actually wrong about who Discover pulled, I was thinking it was TU, but they actually pulled EQ.

I entered income of $28,000/yr. I averaged my last two years tax records to get that number. Thought it would be more accurate that way. I live in Texas too btw

Wondering if I should go ahead and go the the Walmart card while I'm at it, just for one last card before the garden. Do you think Chase or Discover would trip out on another account?

Re: Finally Bit the Bullet and Applied...Chase Freedom and Discover It

Woo-Hoo, my account is finally ready so I can login. I thought I was dreaming about the credit limit, but evidently I heard it correctly.

So for those of you that are worried you'll never get out of toy limit hell, here's a little hope. Smiley Happy
