I was actually made aware of this change to our Citi Shell gas card account by MF. They dropped the limit from $800 to $300. The last payment on account was in 8/2014. It has carried a zero balance since and has not been used. I guess this is an example of spooking a CCC due to non use. I'm sure we will live! lol
I think more creditors will do this in the future if there is nonuse. Just my gut tells me that.
Did you have a BK 7 or BK 13? At what point did you get in with Penfed and Discover? I am planning my future apps. Thanks.
Makes sense, especially on a fuel card. I would throw a fit if a mc/visa got halved like that. Rotate those in use cards guys and gals.

Not sure if i would be upset even if mastercard or visa did it after no use in many months. but they couuld have just closed it altogether. Im sure if op uses it they will restore the limit. That $500 could be giving to someone that will actually use it. although i agree its just money out of thin air anyway.

CLDs due to non-use are fairly common. Since you last used it a year ago, it doesn't seem like it would be missed much if they close the account. Do you plan on closing this card, getting some use on it, or just letting with wither away?
