First Premier CLI

I know it's laughable, but I requested a CLI this morning from them and GOT IT!  Granted, the lady said they only grant between $100-$200 increases and they do charge a convenience fee for them if approved, but I about fell over when she said right after I requested it that I was approved!!!!!!

Re: First Premier CLI

I got an increase this past week for 150 dollars.  That was one of 3 on three different cards.  Roll with it.  It is a good thing.  Congrats.

Re: First Premier CLI

Since you aren't paying a mortgage in Bespin/Cloud City anymore that should help your DTI ratio, Lando.

A "convenience fee"? How much are they going to charge you to increase your CL?

Re: First Premier CLI

The fee for a cli is 25 dollars with First Premier.  It has already been billed to my account for the 150 dollar increase that I received this week.

Re: First Premier CLI

Now, may I suggest to everyone who has a FP card - USE IT don't have it use you to re-build/establish credit and get away from them ASAP.  I opened HomeDepot & Exxon within 3 months of opening my FP (my first card agiain) and Citi offered me both a Citgo ($750 CL) and a CitiMC within the first year -- I had a track record with them.

Search the prime/big banks for store cards that they manage - and get1-2 of those... and get a history with them and make sure to say 'yes' to offers of other products from their affiliated companies. You may go crazy with offers of crdit monitoring and credit insurance - but eventually they will get to the card offers.

Re: First Premier CLI

That's great. Keep yourself focused on the big picture - Prime cards. I did just that and after perfect history with FP, and then finding this site in June 07, I have since been able to get rid of FP once and for all and have all of the great cards instead (Amex, BofA, etc - you get the idea - over 20,000 worth of credit when FP would only give me 250 or 350 when I got the credit increase). I've worked very hard to get all of my old debt paid off over the years and have good (and plenty) credit. Nothing brings me geater joy than to ask an establishment, "What cards do you take? Amex?" .... Smiley Happy Keep up the good work. YOU WILL TOTALLY SEE RESULTS!!!
