Forcing a Paypal credit increase.

I read if you have Paypal credit and wanted a increase you could try to make a purchase over your limit. If approved for the purchase. It'll raise your line. Etc

My limit is $2000. Just tried to make a purchase for about $475 over my limit. Last time I tried this it declined it.

This time it worked. Do I just need to call and cancel the order. Hope this all makes sense. Lol

Re: Forcing a Paypal credit increase.

I dont know if you would get to keep your $475 limit if you cancelled or not, however, Synchrony is taking over this card in about a month so you might not wanna be maxed out when they do.  Not sure if it will remain a hidden tradeline, as with Synchrony you never know.  If it reports, alot of folks gonna see fico scores take a hit.

Both times I got mine to increase, I waited until I saw my limit actually increase instead of just showing over extended and it has stuck.

Yes wait for few days until your new limit showing first.

Re: Forcing a Paypal credit increase.

It takes a few days for your new Credit Limit to show so if you had your order “shipped” instead of “pick-up in store” then you might have to ship back the item and possibly be charged with return shipping and/or restocking fee so you might wanna be vigilant about your order as the $450 CLI might not be worth the extra fees. But if you order via pick up in store then no pressure as you’ll have enough time to wait for your new limit to show then cancel.

Re: Forcing a Paypal credit increase.

I had it shipped to store.

Limit still hasn't updated...

If it's no longer a hidden TL, hopefully they use thier same SP Cli policy.
