Futile effort trying to reopen a JCP card...

Speaking about trying to reopen old TL's- A couple mos ago I called up JC P. to ask if I could reopen my JC Penny  (I opened that thing at 18 and was thinking if they backdated if would be awesome) and guess what they told me?

Even if you wait 24-48 hours later and try to repopen a card you still have to re- app. It that not crazy or what?

I knew there was slim chance of reopening a card that old- but come on people!

I called Saks to try to reopen my closed card and they basically told me the same thing. I too think that is ridiculous--of course my card was not dated as far back as yours but I felt the same way when they gave me that response.

I say just reopen the stupid card, I had a perfect history with them! I am not reapp'ing--NO WAY!!

They did tell me that I could keep all of my old history though.

how nice of them. history good or bad is with you 7-10 years no matter how generously they offer it to you.

Yea I know the reason I closed it in the first place was because of my love of handbags. Now I am into jeans--I think I would OD on them just because! I take that back I am a little wiser now than I was then. Stupid lady at Saks!
