GEMB Questions

Is GEMB Bk friendly?  I notice on a lot of the different applications online that it asks if you are Bk free.  For some reason I thought that they may be bk friendly, but now am not sure.  If they are BK friendly, what range of scores would be needed and who do they normally pull.  Also, are the generous with their CLs.  I am going to be in the market for a new card in about a month and have never used them so I'm looking for input (well maybe I had a Banana Republic card about 8 years ago).

Current:
TU (5/14/14): 796 (Inquiries; 8/23/13)
EQ (3/23/14): 791 (Inquiries: 8/23/13)
EX (9/24/13): 780 (Inquiries: 7/2/12; 11/20/12; 7/30/13; 8/23/13)

Goals: No new inquiries for 2014, 800 for all CRs by 12/31/14

Re: GEMB Questions

My BK was 5.5 years old and my average FICO score was 680 when they gave me a $4500.00 line. I've had no baddies since BK and ut was very low.

Re: GEMB Questions

With good internal history (as in good history on your Banana Republic card), you always have a shot at getting approved.  I have heard that they are BK friendly after a few years release from it.

In my wallet: Chase Sapphire Preferred: 16,000 | Chase Slate Edge: 8,100 | Bilt World Elite Mastercard: 16,000 | Fidelity Rewards Visa Signature: 8,500 | PenFed Visa Gold: 12,500 | Penfed Pathfinder: 15,000 | Apple Card: 6,500 | Lowe's: 35,000 | Northern Skies FCU Platinum: 15,000 | Kohls: 3,000

Re: GEMB Questions

Thank you.  That sounds promising.  The Bk was over five and a half years ago with no baddies since then and the Banana card wasn't included in the bk, it was paid in full before hand, so i have no bad history with them.

Re: GEMB Questions

Thank you for all the great information.  I think I'm going to give it a try next month =)  It would be awesome if they did pull EQ b/c that is my highest score right now and it should break 700 by december, plus aside from an Inquiry for a student loan seven months ago, there are no other inquiries on there.
