applied for SWRR and Amazon last year, denied for UTI, paid down balances, applied for Slate, Freedom, SWRR, CSP, Amazon, denied for inquiries. Everyone else (BofA, Citi, Barclays, Cap One) was crazy enough to give me a chance. Maybe not meant to be :-/

Sorry to hear.. What is in your credit file and how many inquiries are we talking about?  Also, have you burn Chase before?

Never burned with Chase, oldest account from Oct 2011, AAoA 1.7 years, total UTI at time of apps was 14-18%, no baddies, no late payments, probably about 20 inquiries

That's a good amount of inquiries. Is that on Experian alone?

I think Experian wasn't showing as many, I think about 6.

All from the beginning of this year.

Chase can lag behind sometime. They waited until i had 2 credit cards at 1 year each before approving a first card with them, the Freedom. Shortly thereafter maybe 6 months i apped and got the CSP. Now their PreQual page always has something waiting there with the Opt Out box.

They will eventually approve you. Make sure when you have to Recon to persist. That is the key with them too.

Definitely reconed the Freedom and Amazon to no avail. Pretty hard to get around all the inquiries
