Re: Getting in with Citi

Citi was weird with me. They declined me a time or two when Discover, Amex, and chase were giving me increases and offers all the time. Got a DC about 15 months ago with a 2k sl(my lowest) did a soft pull up to 3k about 8 months in and a couple of weeks ago complained to the EO about how I wanted it to be my main card and requested 15k and got it. Scores were a little dinged at the time because of high utilization on it when I requested but before I let a big statement cut on another card that had 0 percent that I'm paying off this month. Probably wasn't the best time to request that, but scores were 715-750 across the board with a 1 mo new line. I'm all set on credit now with what I have. Don't travel that much so I like my lineup.

Re: Getting in with Citi

OP, I would wait 6 months from last app date. You're already 3 months into it, so it won't be that long of a wait. If the DC fits your spend then you should apply for it. There is nothing wrong with cold app'ing for a card. Good luck!
