I got that same offer from WaMu in late September, 2007. I applied and received a cc with $6,500 cl.

The 0% was valid for balance transfers only...not for purchases. At least it was for me.

My scores were mid 600's at the time.

WOW!  My scores are 620-640 range and they gave me a 1K CL.  Oh well its something.....

Well, I didn't mention I was already a WaMu customer....an old Providian hold over of 8 years until they converted me to a WaMu card.

But $1,000 cl is nothing to complain about! Smiley Happy

Re: Getting weekly offers from WaMu...look good, what's the catch?

I'm awaiting the arrival of my new WAMU MyPoints card, 0%BT for 6 months, 11.99%, which is better than the card I have now, even though my scores are 710-730. $1000 CL, this is my first experience with WAMU, but I love, love, love MyPoints and will definitely put the rewards program to good use. I plan on PIF on this card and not using my other one anymore except for the occasional small purchase to keep it reporting (Sears gold card that I've had for 15 years). Not been happy with their interest charges, 18+% and I haven't had a late payment in five years. Smiley Mad Not loving them, but I will keep it for the history.

Then you'll love the credit profile they have for you when you register online with them.

They provide you with PFICO scores(bank enhanced FICO score) plus a graph of your monthly scores. I think it's really a nifty website. Smiley Happy

I would think you have a better chance with WAMU then Amex. I have both but you should be able to get WAMU with those scores

You would think, huh.....  I got both in the last couple months.

Amex - $8,300 CL
Wamu - $1,000 CL

Thanks!  I was absolutely shocked when I got the amex, my next highest CL is $2,400.  Not sure what they saw in me but I guess they like what they saw...Smiley Very Happy
