I just took out an auto loan with cap one and am looking to get one more credit card. Was wondering what is a good one for my scores? My real ficos are all 660-680.
I currently have a capital one Platinum with a $1500 limit. Account is one year old, never late. Balance is sometimes around 30% but I do pay down to around 1% every month.
Last night I applied and was approved for a Discover IT card with $800 limit.
TU currently has 4 inquiries, EQ has 2, and EX has 3.
Looking for one more card then plan to garden for awhile as Im hoping to buy a home in about 2 years. Hoping for something with a higher limit than I currently have if possible. Rewards would be nice, but not necessary. Just looking for a good all around card. Thinking about Chase freedom unlimited and I am pre-qualified for it, but I'm worried about needing to burn a HP to request an increase with them down the road, especially if I start out with a low
First off, stop worrying and fixating on inquries. If you want credit, you get inquiries. That's the way it is.
It's a crap shoot with your scores. Chase isn't going to give you a high SL. Most likely $500- $1500.
Do you have any baddies? And what is your AAOA?

Thanks for the info, that makes sense. No baddies, AoAA is roughly 2 years
No baddies and 2 years..Go for it. You may get $2500- $4500.
More likely the $1500 range.
Have you tried requesting a CLI on your Cap1 card? Since you've had the card for 12 months, you are definitely due for one if you haven't requested it yet. That will help bring your UTIL lower and only increase your chances of both approval and a better SL on new cards.
