I swear I answered correctly. I am not going to try it again. I don't mind if it is SP. it will ne another HP every time I try. I will end up a dozen of pulls for nothing. Applying for cc anyway no matter it is going to be 1 HP. I think something wrong the membership system. I second that one.
Ron.
I know for a fact I answered correctly, I'm sure you did as well. Dumb. I have Monday afternoon off for another appointment. I'm calling them and asking what's up with their system because that's 3+ people that are getting declined for securtiy answers that we all know we answered correctly. I don't even care if they approve me at this point. I just wanna know what their deal is with all of this.
They told me I answered only 1 wrong. One of the question asked me how long I have lived in my current address. The first time I answered none of the above. The system was right about that one. I went back to check my credit report. I answered sixteen years. It should be correct. I am postive sure this time. I answer all the question correctly. It said it was wrong. I yelled WTH. The bad part is they didn't let to recon the application by sending additional docs like utility bills, paystub. DCU let me to send those things after I failed the question. They did it on purpose. I am done. I told myself it 's going to be last time. I am sorry for those 4 HPs. It must be hard to accept it. You didn't get anything out of it. It's time to move on.

Ron, thanks for posting your status on this. Lake Michigan Credit Union pulled my TU 3 times and denied for the pyramids. I am glad I didn't apply to Consumers now. I learned my lesson from OCCU. And people say it's cheap shot when I say CU are amateurs.

Sorry to hear aboutLake Michigan Credit Union. Ouuch!!!!! That's going to hurt. May I ask what happened to your Duck and Beaver card? Sometimes, it is too good to be true. I ran into some easy one like Alliant CU. They gave me pre-approval when I joined. It was good old days. Have you heard anything about CP Federal?
I thought Consumer Credit Union was bad.

LMCU was last year. I have checking and savings with them and they have low APR cards, but they're hard to get approved and don't like new accts. I only had Duck card $15k. They sent me the letter and I had $3k balance on the card, but offered to honor 12 months 0%. It reported acct closed in good standing but with the balance. I transferred the balance to BoA because I didn't think it looked good to have a balance on closed card.
I haven't heard of CP Federal. They are in Jackson, MI just down the road 1 hour from me. Their APR goes as low as 6.25%, maybe I'll call and ask how to join and who they pull. I haven't heard of them before.

CP Federal CU is pretty good credit union. Yes, they are in Michigan. I heard they are pretty nice to members. I heard they pulled TU. It shouldn't be too hard for you. You can go inside to ask about them. They also have branch ib Clinton,MI. I don't think they have open membership. They used to have. They closed the doors after the gold rush like Duck card. You know what I mean.

It looks like you might be able to join through a big list of associations. Thanks for the info, I will call them tomorrow. I also looked into DFCU, but they weren't friendly and I seemed to be bothering them. They're nothing special and APR isn't that good. Are you a member of Nasa?

Yes, I left you a PM. Check your mailbox. No, I don't belong to NASA. I heard about them. I have a membership and credit card with DFCU. They are ok. It took a long time to verify your ID when you join. You need to have a lot of patience.
Ron.
Hi everyone, I came home from work reading today threads with my mouth open let me tell you my story today about this credit union trying to deal with this from work and hopefully I can help you Ron, NursePurse or anyone else wanting to join!!! Well I called this morning and tried to contact the rep who left a me a home message apparently I believe was not working today which was in my favor as she sounded like someone I hate to say useless and my online app was declined even before I spoke with anyone. So I called the main number and I was then transferred to another rep who seemed very nice and professional I explained my situation and quess what she stated the information she had for my decline is quess what I ANSWERED THE SECURTY QUESTION WRONG which is absolutely not true what she did tell me this credit union is very HIGH on sercurity there. So we now know there online system is worthless I recommended no one apply online, you need to apply over the phone. But during my conversation she said I can apply over the phone and she would call me back later in the day after my meeting. To my surprise she did call me back I had to go over the application process answer security questions with her and what a JOKE they were the same questions I answered on line which i answered the same and it was correct. I also asked would this be another hard pull and she told me no and she was right I checked all my reports this evening and no 2nd pull. This rep seemed exceptional corresponding with me with through email after my conversation to sign e-documents back and forth so to make a long story short my application process went through within a couple of hours, approved for membership and accounts are already online. I was very lucky to end up with this rep. The only thing being held up is the credit card app information went to underwriting, I doubt I will be approved for this though, if so I will be shocked. But Ron, NursePower or anyelse PM me and I will tell you her name/contact information. If anyone can help I believe it can be her. it is the luck of the draw when it comes to these reps.......
Update: In regards to the credit card I was informed the other day I needed to give a copy of w-2 taxes or 3 pays stubs and 3 references with the works names addresses and phone#, sent in pay stubs and references found out today when checking the account online credit card was approved with the 4K limit I requested......

Congrats on getting approved. It seems like a lot of work. Key Bank recently asked me for all that: 2 years of W2, last 2 pay stubs, last 2 years of tax returns and 4506T form. I wasn't going to do it, but curiosity got the best of me and they approved. I can now say I completely understand anybody's reluctance to submit all of that information beforehand or in case of a financial review.
