Are you going to try in the near future? Our relationship was torn asunder about 8 yrs. ago.....laying low a couple more years.![]()
I got my letter today.
Reasons for declination:
-Bankcard proportion of recently opened trades to open trades with balances (yeah I got new credit and I'm using it)
-Percent of recently open trades with a balance (yeah same as above)
-Length of time since oldest bankcard trade opened (5y8m is apparently working against me)
Not surprised about the reasons but the 695 score caught me off guard. With a bit of Googling, it looks like it's FICO Nextgen (EQ Pinnacle) that they're using.

It's still better than my EX2. ![]()
Froma last statement cut.. Funny thing reason one is way out of whack I have about a 2300 balance on about 500k in personal credit. They consider that high and that is on a 50k limit CC lol..
That's absolutely ridiculous. Definitely not a score model that's friendly to those of us who run way outside of expected behavior.
Like Discover they send you a letter if you don't prequalify? Seems like a waste.
I have to browse in the open to see the link. The prequalification link does not show in Incognito/Private mode. It must need cookies to work.
They said I prequalify but I am skeptical. EQ is my losest score and has some dirt on it that aged off my other reports.
Going to wait on some more dp's.
I received a letter fom HSBC. They could not review because my EQ is locked. They said to unlock and try again. I haven't done so yet.
Just went to HSBC and noticed they now have a 'pre-qualify' option without impacting score. It was there last week. maybe this will help minimize the lengthy approval process I've come to learn about on this site.
Yep, its been known about for a bit.
