Decided to apply for an increase after being turned down for almost 1 1/2 years. Usually when I hit the LUV button I'm told to call in. This time I got the short form (salary, desired increase amount and name of employer), filled it out, hit submit, received the "will process within 72 hours" message. Hours later I received an e-mail stating my CL has increased from 5,000 to 7,000, with no credit pull. Just thought I'd let the board now. The card I have is the HSBC Platinum Rewards Mastercard....and I don't know my credit scores. They're all frozen.
Congrats. I guess they have resumed CLI's now, a rep told me 9/24. Good to know.
does this also include their Orchard bank cards?
Wonder if this would apply to my BBRZMC since I think it's issues by HSBC.
I have been stuck at $300 for the past 3 years and never late on this card.
I just checked my BBRZMC and it said 'Credit Cards issued by HSBC Bank Nevada, N.A'
And since for some weird reason I don't have a 'Requst CLI' button, I just sent them a message for a CLI. We'll see if I get the same BS message.

I hate to say HSBC is not giving out any cli's at all right now, at one time this bank was giving out cli's before BBRZMC accounts was sold to Cap One, all we can hope for is better cli's and credit card terms once Cap One officially takes over
Ok I heard back from HSBC for my BBRZMC
Same ol' BS script:
'At this time, HSBC has made a business decision to not grant credit limit increases. You are welcome to check back with us periodically for the availability of credit limit increase requests in the near future.'
For the past threee years I have asked for a CLI about 4 times. I always got the same script. So i'm stuck at $300 with a $59 AF for now until I can get rid of this card.
Oh great BBRZMC was sold to Cap 1? So that means i'm now 100% screwed since I never got a single CLI from Cap one and I have two cards with them...Outstanding !!

I don't have the BBRZMC, I have the regular BB store card. I assume the BB store cards were included in the profile sold to Cap1. Cap1 despite it's stingy nature has been relatively good to me, they gave me a CLI this year right before Christmas and just over Memorial Day weekend, I asked for a reduction in APR and it was granted. Back to the BB card, I got a CLI a few months ago to $1100, though I guess this means I won't see anymore after this. Bummer. ![]()
sorry to disappoint you but I received CLI of 1000$ (25% increase) on my BBRZ Mastercard issued by HSBC yesterday. I think if your initial line was 300, probably you have received the version of the card that does not give an CLI at all. Is it the card with an annual fee?
My best buy mastercard was had a initial CL of $300 with no AF. It was bumped up to $500 a few months ago when HSBC decided to just randomly increase ppl. Can't seem to get anything else from them though, been just sitting at $500.
