No worries, I was just wondering if a request would have triggered secondary review, that's all.
No I'm super pissed because i rechecked my credit and I'm high 700's utilization is 3%, I've only received one bill and paid off.... it's unreal. Waiting on a call back Monday.
Well I called the Portfolio risk management department and spoke to a woman and she said they they didn't cancel it. I specifically asked her what her department does and she said they look at risk management and any potential user that maybe doing something they shouldn't be. She said I needed to talk to customer service and the lady said customer service said they didn't cancel it. Spoke to a supervisor she was no help. I explained to her that I never cancelled it 😡😢

Hmmmm. Well, that's frustrating OP. Sorry you're not getting some straight answers to get this resolved.
Evidently, someone (if manual review) or the system closed/suspended the account for some reason. So, on the plus side, PRR confirmed their department didn't cancel the account, correct?
Have you received any callback from the EO? I'd pursue that channel (given PRR wasn't involved in the cancellation) until they provide more information.
Hi I have been on edge of my seat wating for out come have you been able to get more information or we open your credit card with chase. From what I am reading I think there are better bank to do business, if what your saying there is no good reason for chase to shoshut down your account your not only one Chase has done this to. You say you have 40K on deposit with Wells Fargo then I recommend the Propel amex card by Wells fargo no af. I have it and I like no problems with 20K limit. Also Us bank has a nice high end travel card and also the Altitude go which gives 4 percent cash back on eating out and bars. Please keep us up dated. I hope it works out for you.
@firefox100 do you have any Chase accounts, and if no, how come?

While we have seen numerous Chase shutdowns, they have ultimately always been completely with merit and for logical reasons. Hopefully the OP will update us once they have been given the reason(s) for the closing.
Ok yes I would like to here from the OP to see what the end result was. It is my opinion, that I like Wells Fargo over Chase or I would go for a US bank creditcard. If you take look at the big banks and Amex which bank does nore shut downs it looks like Chase, yes I know that Amex will do shut downs that mainly do to fraud or beating them with rewards and doing cash like transactions, nothing wrong with that. What do you gain by putting me on the spot, yes I do not have Chase creditcards at this time because I burnt them in the past. If Chase does not want to give me approve me for creditcard it is my fault not chase's that is ok with me. I understand that the moderators don't like it when you compare banks with each other. I find the boards very valuable, for example some time this summer I am going to apply for a Amex creditcard even thoe I have burnt them in the past because they do not do hard pull if you don't get past your past history, on other hand chase does hard pull any way and even if you do some how get approved for Chase card they will shut you down if later they catch it in a review. I know some who has his accounts and checking account closed because he used his creditcard to bail out family memember it got messy with lawyers he went on to another bank and chase paid him out of court, the bank shut down his checking account and bounce bunch check even thoe there was plenty of funds in the account. The boards have help me to decide which creditcards to go for.
@firefox100 Moderators do not like it when threadjaking happens.
Your question (and subsequent statements) are in no way related to unfortunate situation OP found themselves in, and it's quite inconsiderate to start turning this into being about you, lender comparisons, and statements that aren't grounded in reality.
Telling someone there are other houses while theirs is burning isn't exactly the best timing.
If you wish to discuss (again) how apples compare to oranges, start a thread. OP doesn't need any of this.

Ok it is not about me it is about the Op and what he is going through being at dinner and having your card declined, would want to do business with another bank. In off chance you can't get Chase to over turn there decision and we open the account, would you want to make moves to have a back up travel card and apply for another creditcard with another bank before chase card reports closed by lender. One of reasons I brought up Wells Fargo is Op said he had 40K on deposit with Wells Fargo. It might be good Idea to go into Wells Fargo bank and sit down with banker and go over situation and see if you can be approved for another travel card. It is hard to fight city hall and last thing you would want on your credit report is account closed with balance on it. That is reason you want to make moves soon as possible.
