Help me get this Itch under control

So i have been re-bulding and Gardening since November of 2013. Yesterday i decided to pull the trigger and Got approved for Discover it and Chase Freedom cards. Of course i was excited and glad to see hard work pay off. Now i got the itch, i was planning on possibly milking the oppurtunity of right now. Ive be thinking about Barclay reward card, Capital One Quicksilver or one more card. Granted i am planning on possibly re-financing my car from last year since things have dramatically changed since then. All together, i feel like i am comfortable giving up 5 HP for this year to see if i can achieve this goal of cards. So i have 2 HPs so far 3 left lol. Should i try for the Barclay? my walmart card wont get me a CLI and they pulled TU in which i have a charge off with Capital one that is paid for the beginning of this month. I figured it might be too early to try Capital One quicksilver since i just took care of the Charge off. Barclay pulls TU from what ive read and i didnt want to possible get a deny b/c of what ive experienced with the walmart card Any advise will be great. Help me get this Itch under control lol.

Re: Help me get this Itch under control

I would wait with CapOne due to the CO just being paid. How old is your CO? How many total inquiries on TU? Barclays is inquiry sensitive. What are your scores?

Forget the cards. If you can refi your auto loan for a lower rate that is going to save you so much more money. After that is done then I could see MAYBE applying for one more card. Out of the ones you listed I'd say Barclays depending on how your TU profile looks. Have the new cards already reported?

Re: Help me get this Itch under control

My last Inqs were last year Oct with 11 because of an auto loan shopping, but from what i know that should only count as 1 and i applied for Barclay back then and i was denied, granted my scores were 520 with collections on it. I DV the collections and they should be all off my report except for the CO. Scores last checked for TU with Walmart Fico is 630. The CO was from 2012 which i just paid off Aug 1st. Thanks for the response

Re: Help me get this Itch under control

Thanks. I was going to re-fi with my CU and use the same HP to try their credit card. No i dont believe the other cards are reporting as of yet. Havent seen any change with credit karma. not sure if i got to wait for when the Credit Karma refreshes which is thursdays for me, to see or will it automatically shows onces it reports.

Re: Help me get this Itch under control

They will count as one for FICO scoring. The bank will still see them as 11 seperate inquiries under review. I'd wait for Barclays or any other cards. between the inquiries and possible new accounts reporting. I know it's boring, but if you keep gardeining it will help. You may be ok for a auto refi.

That sounds like a good plan as long as it's the same pull. If they decline I probably wouldn't go shopping for a refi. Just wait another 6 months. CK should theoretically send you an alert if new accounts are reporting.

Re: Help me get this Itch under control

thanks for the advice. I guess i needed someone experienced to tell me i am right for just going back to the Garden for another 5-6 months before i try for those cards. Patience got me this far, guess i can stick to that. thank you again. the Auto-refinanced will be done once i get confirmation from capital one that the CO has been updated to reflect zero balance on my CR so i looks better when manually reviewed by the CU

Re: Help me get this Itch under control

If you decide to app for Barclays, go for the 'average credit' app. If the approval isn't instant, you can always recon & explain your inquiries or COs. DH was approved last month with 623 TU score for $1,000 on recon. Of course YMMV. GL!

Re: Help me get this Itch under control

Thanks, yea i keep reading everyone is pretty much successful with the recon. Im guessing you are talking about the rewards card for average credit?
