Help with Capital One -- PC, EO

Hello everyone, and thanks to all the incredible information in the forum.

I'm having some issues with Capital One and I'm hoping someone could give me some guidance and possibly PM me the EO contact info.

So I have a Platinum MC that I've has since 2005.  I have a 3K limit.  Never missed a payment, never had issues with the account.  However, I've also never received a CLI and I've been told I have no upgrade options available for my account.  I also pay monthly membership fees.  I usually carry a balance, sometimes near the limit, but today I've finally paid it off.

I got this card when I was in college, with no rewards and virtually no card benefits.  It didn't matter to me then, but I'm grown up now and I'm a bit more educated about credit.  Today, this card really does nothing for me.  I called Capital One about PC'ing my card to the Quicksilver Visa to begin earning cash back for my monthly purchases.  I want to put $1,000+ in monthlies on the card to begin earning some legit cash back.

After the first-line CSR's shot me down, I tried the Facebook route.  Their response was really quick and their agent was great, but unfortunately received the same answer.  She mentioned she has one more thing to try (which may be the EO, but not positive) so now I'm waiting a few days for follow up.

So, I'm looking for some guidance in case I get rejected again.  Should I try the EO?  Something else?  This is one of my oldest lines, with a great rate, but it virually does nothing for me.  I've outgrown its usefullness and now I'm just paying monthly fees for nothing.  The Quicksilver gets me to where I need to be.

Any input is appreciated.  Happy to be part of the forums!

Did you provide your phone number in your PM on Facebook?  I sent a private message on Facebook identifying my concerns and left my phone number.  I also received a message on Facebook back saying someone would follow up.  About 24 hours later I got a call back from the EO.  They were able do a PC from my Journey card to the Quicksilver and gave me a CLI as well.  I think you will have a similar experience.  If for some reason you don't get a call back from the EO from the Facebook message, I would recommend contacting them yourself.  The number is available in this thread below if you look hard! ;-)

And for email, you can simply google/search "Capital One CEO email" and you will see the email in the first few results.

Re: Help with Capital One -- PC, EO

Thanks to you both.

Yes, after I contacted Cap1 via Facebook, I received a call and spoke with a representative.  They too mentioned I had no 'offers' and couldn't do the change.

My thoughts are to contct the EO if I don't receieve follow up from the Facebook rep who called me.  She said it could take a few days, so I'll wait a week or two.

Welcome to the forum

From everything I've read Facebook responses are taking care of by EO people

IMHO before emailing wait on them to respond

Good luck

Before you app think...
Have you done your research of the CC?
Does it fit your spending?
Do you have a plan for the bonus w/o going into debt?
Can you afford the AF?
Do you know the cards benefits? Is it worth the HP?
