How soon is too soon for a CLI request? I want to request some CLI's not because I need them but because I like to be able to cary more of a ballance without having to wory about UTI. Both of the cards I want to request them on are only 2 months old. Should I wait untill 6mo or more? Or should I just go for it? Also does chase or barclays HP or SP for a CLI? If it's a HP I will probably just wait as this is more of something I want than need.
Any help would be great!
Chase always goes for the HP if customer requested. They're not known for frequent, automated SP requests, though they occasionally happen. Best to wait at least 6 months on this then if you really want it.
Not sure how Barclay's policy works, someone will chip in soon!
I would definitely show barlcays 6 months of payment history and then call them up and ask for someone to see if they have any offers for a lower apr or soft pull increase. two months is too soon usually for them and score in the 650's from my experience.
If you hit that button online, it will either be a hard pull or they might just not even process the request and send you a letter saying sufficent credit is had. Use your cards and pay in full monthly and in 6 months you will be in a good place to get some luv.
I would wait at least 6 months for both of them. What limits did they start you off with? That can be an indicator if they are willing to give you more in the near future.

Also, you can hit the luv button your Cap One after 3 months, then after every 6 statements. And many people have success with Discover anywhere from every 31-91 days. Both companies are soft pull.
