Nope i think i know but he hasnt been around since Covid.
Fin? He never had his cards in his signature though. K does so it's a reasonable assumption.
Yup, thats my guess but @Gmood1 probably comes off like a Mod cuz he's got the best siggy on Fico
😂😂😂😂
No that would be my buddy @credit_is_crack .
I have too many to color coordinate.lol
It was me OP was referring to.
Lol, oh i thought of Crackman for sure. Most coordinated but i like how reading yours is like 2 posts in one😆
The skinny of it is OP, is TIME, is what you need most. Pre covid, easier said than done. Now, you better have a rock solid profile, income, and plenty of 🍀
😂😂😂
Some of you that have removed your signatures have nearly as many or more than I do.
I agree, it is time, luck and time.😂
Timing of application seems to be one of the most important parts.
You can have great credit and income. But if your timing is garbage or you are slow to pull the trigger. It can easily cost you a denial.
Biggest missed opportunities come from worrying about the longevity of a CC. Like any of them are guaranteed...they aren't.😆

Or, even easier, just list a bunch of cards in your signature. That's what most people here do, I doubt if any forum member really has more than 5 cards.
Except @Mahraja He has one high-limit card from every banking insitution in the country.
I agree, @Mahraja name is inscribed in the the walls of credit Valhalla just as Fins is.😆
It's easy to say it's easy to accomplish. Unless you've tried it.
Accumulating CCs from multiple lenders isn't that easy. If it were you'd certainly have more here that would have done it.
Many moderators have 25-35ish cards or more whether it is @K-in-Boston , @FinStar or myself. With Fin being the one with the most by a decent margain. Many others on the forum have tons of cards as well. Has to go with many factors whether it is Scores, profiles, income or just the magical thing being time and a long credit history. Also economic conditions will play a role to an extent.
Wiith the above stated why do you want that many cards? Some of us find it as can we do it type of thing. Although really only should get cards that can benefit you.

You assume that most people would actually WANT cards from a lot of different lenders. What some call "lender diversity" others would call "a PITA to monitor".
I have 17 cards but only need to log into 6 issuer websites.

I have five cards across four lenders and I think THAT is a PITA lol
Also, 5 of those 6 issuers (Chase being the exception) send ebills to my Schwab checking account.

Actually I DO NOT ASSUME ANYTHING.
My comments are only directed at those that say it's easy, but have only 3 lenders to deal with. 😂😂
Same people that complain about what others have.
Yes it's a PITA for some. Though it's not for all of us.
I like options. Some people are fine paying nearly 4% on a new vehicle finance, with prime credit scores.
I like the option to pay less than half of that, because of those options.

The members with only 6 you need to worry about
@RadioRob wrote:OK. I'll bite and answer this one honestly without any pretense.
I currently have 24 open revolving accounts and another 12 closed revolving accounts. The oldest was opened 10 years ago.4 were opened less than 12 months ago, 6 opened between 12-24 months, 8 opened 25-36 months back, and 6 more than 36 months ago.
On average that's been about 1-2 cards a quarter. Some quarters more, others less but the average works out to about that.
There is no technique to open 40 accounts at once. Credit is a marathon, not a race. Many of the folks here have been running a long time.
My best suggestion is not to worry about quantity. Focus on quality and which cards best meet your needs. Get those and set your foundation on what will drive your everyday usage. Over time you'll see credit products that fill a niche use case or provide an offer to good to pass up (a la "sign up bonus" or SUB). You'll spot add those as they become appealing.
Without really trying, suddenly you realize you're one of "those" people with a dedicated drawer that has more cards than socks. :-)
And then you start thinning the herd and make things simple by only keeping 5 or 6.

Yeah the monitoring is definitely not something I particularly enjoy. Apps have made that process much easier but it's still tedious.
OP, I joined this forum 9/2018 with 3 cards. I have 18 cards right now and I've closed 6. I am also a low income person, coming in around $18.5K. What I did is probably not going to happen for awhile with coronavirus messing everything up. Honestly just pick cards that will benefit you, prioritize your apps based on policies like Chase's 5/24 and Citi's 6/6, and don't be afraid to burn an inquiry here and there if you need to.
